Our single-use tubes are made of TPE (thermoplastic elastomer). They are flexible, transparent, sterilisable and malleable biopharmaceutical tubes for liquid handling. This means they retain their physical properties after sterilisation processes, resist kinking, remain transparent for visible product flow and do not become rubbery. They can also be sealed and welded with our tube sealers and welders for a tight and sterile seal.
Our moulded assemblies are complete, customised solutions that eliminate the risk of leakage as there is only one component in a system. So not only is it faster and easier to assemble, but there are no joints to break. Another advantage of moulded systems is that they have a completely smooth inner surface. This provides a laminar flow without obstructions. This also prevents the product from settling in any crevices.
Our single-use pumps operate using four diaphragms driven one by one by a connecting plate that moves back and forth in and out of its central position in a motion generated by an eccentric shaft. The four pump chambers work in the same way as the human heart and this allows the product flow to constantly move forwards in a volumetric, uniform way that provides low shear and low pulsation. The low pulsation provides a uniform flow that can be beneficial for filtration, regulation and flow measurement.
