What is an eccentric pump?

Eccentric pumps that are Positive displacement pumpsare suitable for transferring both very high and very low viscosity products, as well as media requiring gentle handling and media with larger particles.

The eccentric pump moves the media by means of a single-twisted metal rotor that rotates eccentrically, creating a cavity that moves from the suction side towards the pressure side. This creates a uniform and delicate flow without pulsation. The low contact speed between the rotor and stator also reduces wear on the pump parts.

Eccentric pumps are known for their versatility and are available in different models in AISI 304, 316 stainless steel or cast iron for both vertical and horizontal installation.

How to operate an eccentric pump

Our progressive cavity pumps are food-safe pumps with a large suction chamber. They are self-priming and self-priming and available for both horizontal and vertical installation.

Our Vertical Progressing Cavity Pump is a progressive cavity pump made of stainless steel AISI 316, designed for vertical installation with the inlet submerged directly into the product. It is intended for product transfer and drum or container emptying applications where the suction port is inserted directly into the product and used for racking and emptying drums or containers and can be installed on a special manual or pneumatically operated drum holder.

The main components of the vertical progressive cavity pumps, such as the stator, rotor, joints and mechanical seals are the same as used on the corresponding horizontal version.
