Globe valves

At Alflow, we want to offer you the best seat valves and flow components in our product programme. This includes efficient, durable equipment from skilled and reliable suppliers. In this way, you are guaranteed competent and safe guidance and always the right globe valve for the job that suits your needs.

What is a globe valve?

Globe valves typically consist of body, plug, handle (manual), actuator (automatic), seals and connections. Globe valves seal the flow of fluid or divert it from one line to another by means of a plug pressed against a seat. Single seat valves are widely used in manual and automatic sanitary processes due to their relatively simple design, variety of types and relatively low purchase cost.

Globe valves belong to the group of control valves that ensure stable and accurate control of media, water, gases, steam and aggressive media.

This means that if you have, for example, a pipe system with seat valves, each seat valve will seal the flow of fluid or divert it from one line to another by means of a sealing surface that is pressed against the seat. This ensures a regulation of the flow.

Seat valves are thus very useful for quick activations, high temperatures and regulation of both low and high pressures. Therefore, you often see them used for controlling steam and water. The main areas are various applications in industrial processes, but also in sterile and hygienic applications in pharmaceuticals, food and biotechnology.

You can see all our efficient valves here.

What types of globe valves are there?

A single seat valve is typically available in many types and configurations to fulfil most process requirements. This includes both manual valves for simple processes and automatic, aseptic valves for the highest cleaning and sterility requirements.

Globe valves are suitable for regulating flow at both low and high pressures, high temperatures, demanding conditions and aggressive media.

Which seat valves should I choose?

You can find a globe valve in different versions - this includes both manual valves for simple processes and automatic aseptic valves for the highest cleaning and sterility requirements. A single globe valve is primarily seen in manual and automatic sanitary processes. This is due to a relatively simple design and low cost.

Seat valves can be found as, among other things:

  • Standard valveThe sweetener for most applications and with manual or automatic valve. It is also available in many sizes for a wide range of tasks.
  • Automatic two-stage valve: This type of globe valve is often used for dosing, which reduces the flow before it is completely shut off.
  • Aseptic valveThis type of globe valve is designed for aseptic processes and/or for increased requirements for easy cleaning.

And even more. Not sure which valve best fulfils your needs? Then we are ready to advise and guide you. We have over 20 years of experience in components for the pharmaceutical, chemical and food industries, primarily in Denmark - including pumps, valves, tank equipment, mixers, hoses, pipes and fittings.

To ensure the correct choice of valve, we work with you to get all necessary process and site data as well as customer preferences. For example, is it a manual or automatic operation? And how many activations and cleaning cycles are there? These factors and other questions determine the valve selection and configuration to ensure you get the right globe valve for your process.

For you, this means a safe, professional and experienced partner. Take a closer look at All our components and products Here.

How to find the right globe valve?

To ensure correct valve selection, it's important to consider all necessary process and site data and customer preferences - including capacity, pressure, temperature, viscosity, etc.

Discover the range of stainless steel valves

At Alflow, we supply professional globe valves for business. All our globe valves have a modern and compact design. In addition, they are really solid. This is because they are made of high-quality solid stainless steel. This minimises both resistance and knocking in the pipes, and you get highly durable globe valves with a long service life.

The range varies from double globe valves, single globe valves and high pressure valves, among others. Sizes range from DN15 to DN100 with a maximum pressure of 150 bar. In addition, you can receive documentation that includes the certificates that you can also read about the individual valves on the page.

They all aim to meet your most stringent regulation requirements. What's more, the valves are designed to be extremely durable. So with our globe valves, you get the benefits of efficient functionality, compact design and less time and effort in demanding process environments.
